Tip for foreigners: we speak Portuguese, not Spanish
Stop saying “Gracias” when you come to Brazil or talking to a Brazilian person. You’re not been cute, you’re been clueless.
South America has 371 million people. Brazil has 190 of those, and we speak PORTUGUESE. We don’t say “Gracias”, we say “Obrigado” if you’re male, “Obrigada” if you’re female. We don’t say “mucho” we say muito, neither “donde está”, we say “onde está”.
Yes, I’m grumpy. It is early, it is cold and I haven’t had my coffee yet.
